thanks but could you use ubuntu-bug on the file as explained in the
previous comment? that will open a new bug in a way which can be deal
with in a semi automatic way and collect infos

Bug description:
  I just managed to crash gedit (reproducible each time) with a few easy steps.
  open gedit, open any text file, select some text with the mouse, drag this text to another position (a few letters to the right in this example), drop the text.
  Gedit 3.2 crashes every time.
