That configuration dialog is deprecated in GNOME3 and Oneiric so closing
the bug, feel free to open new bugs about other issues you might find
though

  Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

  In the appearance properties windows, the resize grip is present in the theme preview. 
  It is present in the 1) main Theme preview tab 2) Customize > Control tab 3) Customize > Window Border tab
  The grip should not exist there.
