That configuration dialog is deprecated in GNOME3 and Oneiric so closing
the bug, feel free to open new bugs about other issues you might find
though

  Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

  Steps to reproduce this bug:
  1) Open Appearance Preferences
  2) Select Theme tab
  3) Customize a theme
  4) Color Tab --> Pick any color using eyedropper
  5) The selected color is always black irrespective of the chosen color; #000000
