[Bug 713723] Re: Nautilus doesn't start upon launch in Unity

I then tried to start Nautilus from an open shell and got the following:

** (nautilus:2273): DEBUG: SyncDaemon already running, initializing SyncdaemonDaemon object
Initializing nautilus-open-terminal extension
Initializing nautilus-gdu extension

(nautilus:2273): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_action_set_visible: assertion
`GTK_IS_ACTION (action)' failed

(nautilus:2273): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_action_set_visible: assertion `GTK_IS_ACTION (action)' failed
Speicherzugriffsfehler

Then Compiz (that is a guess) crashed leaving me with a grey-scale
surface of Unity. Looked kind of cool - but is certainly what I always
want.

Title:
Nautilus doesn't start upon launch in Unity

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

Launching it from the dock doesn't work, from places menu doesn't
work, from terminal doesn't work. Terminal gives something about
nautilus not responing (replying?), but if I try running that command
now Compiz is likely to crash and I need to kill X or reboot again.
From the top of my head I can remember it saying something about GLib.
I'll update this post later when I can write down everything the
  terminal gives me.

Nautlis does launch in Classic Desktop, but it's incredibly slow and
  freezes all the time.
