Title:
In keyboard selector, dropdown box for country selection does not
respond to keypress

Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
While selecting the country (and variant) for the keyboard layout, the
dropdown selection box only responds to mouse clicks and arrow keys
and 'enter' key. I believe that the dropdown box should also be
responding to keypresses of the letter by jumping to the item in the
sorted list.
For example, when that country box is selected, I would expect that
pressing "U" would have the dropdown box jump to "Ukraine".
I have experienced this in Lucid, but I suspect it also exists in
previous versions.
