  Unable to select one background image in a slideshow set

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

  In Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic it is not possible to choose a desktop
  background among the included pictures of space in gnome-appearance-
  properties. These are organized into one group and the user can flip
  between them in thumbnail mode, but only the first one shown can be
  set as desktop background (aka wallpaper).

  These steps are necessary to reproduce the bug:
  1. Open gnome-appearance-properties
  2. Flip through the included pictures of space
  3. Try to set them as desktop background
