official Ubuntu repositories. Because of this the Ubuntu project can not
support or fix your particular bug. Please report this bug to the
provider of the software package by following the instructions at

Title:
  Show non-printing characters fails to reveal spaces

Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Dear Devs,

  Despite having the "spaces" ticked under tools > options > LibreOffice
  Writer > formatting aids, i am unable to see any marks representing
  'spaces'.

  Paragraph end, manual line breaks and tab marks are revealed though.

  I wonder if i am doing something wrong (being new to LO Writer), of is
  this is a bug?

  System = Ubu11.04 64bit.
