[Bug 870019] Re: suspend on idle behavior should be preseedable
The configuration is in gconf, I'm not really familiar with preseeding
but can't those tweak default gconf or gsettings key values? Does it has
to be a debconf question?

Title:
suspend on idle behavior should be preseedable
Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
The current default behavior of new installs is to suspend on idle.
While I would argue this isn't a great default, I understand why it
is. However, many computers do not suspend well (including qemu-
kvm/libvirt), and enterprise environments may want to disable the
behavior for any number of reasons. Suspend on idle should be a
preseedable debconf question (medium, to avoid prompts). This would
allow OEMs to better finetune the behavior as well.
