[Bug 874406] Re: lightdm locks a core to 100% usage

Update:

Short version: it was not due to lightdm.

Longer version:

- I stopped lightdm, and selected gdm as the default.
- Restarted the session.
- Htop again showed 99% usage on the 1st core.
- The second application by CPU was Google Desktop, about 40%.
- After killing Google Desktop, everything want back to normal.

So, in conclusion, this bug seems to have nothing with lightdm... No
idea why was this due to Google Desktop.

Title:
lightdm locks a core to 100% usage

Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  - lightdm locks one core (out of 4 in my case) to 100% usage
  - killing a process / new instance does not help
  - This is the process that locks a core:

  /usr/bin/X :0 -auth /var/run/lightdm/root/:0 -nolisten tcp vt7
  -novtswitch -background none

  - similar to bug #872939 only in regard of locking to 100%, but I do
  not have multiple accounts
