Title:
Unable to create/extract files containing an '@' symbol in a zip file
Status in “file-roller” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: file-roller
I get this error when creating certain zip-files. Appears to affect
files starting with the '@' symbol.
"7-Zip 9.04 beta Copyright (c) 1999-2009 Igor Pavlov 2009-05-30
p7zip Version 9.04 (locale=en_US.utf8,Utf16=on,HugeFiles=on,2 CPUs)
Error:
Incorrect item in listfile.
Check charset encoding and -scs switch."
Steps to reproduce error:
1. Create a new file on your Ubuntu Desktop called '@HS45195.PDF'
2. Right-click on it and select "Compress..."
3. Choose the file name '@HS45195.ZIP' and click "Create"
This will result in the error message above. The same thing happens
when extracting the file '@HS45195.PDF' from a ZIP file.
Using: File Roller 2.30.1.1
OS Version: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
