Title:
Empathy without Indicator Applet doesn't flash the tray icon when my
nick is mentioned
Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: empathy
Sorry to be reporting so many bugs in Empathy... when Indicator Applet
integration is not on in Empathy and someone mentions my nick in an
IRC channel or conversation which is already open in a tab, the
Empathy tray icon does not flash. If someone sends me a private
message (/query) and I have no conversation with them currently open,
the icon flashes as expected. I get this with Empathy from Lucid, and
with the Lucid PPA version of Tue 23 March 2010 (in the PPA version
Indicator Applet integration is not working, which makes this more
noticable).
Not sure if this is supposed to be like that, but I would personally
prefer it if the tray icon did flash when someone mentions my nick.
