Title:
Turn off the monitor after "locking screen"
Status in “gnome-screensaver” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
After we press Ctrl-Alt-L or use Indicator Applet Session to lock the
screen, the screen isn't actually turned off, but just left blank
there. I think this is not reasonable -- since the screen no longer
shows any information and just keep ON, wasting energy.
Hope this could be fixed by adding an option to turn off the screen
power after locking screen.
