Title:
missing "ID3 demuxer" disqualifies many mp3s
Status in “gstreamer0.10” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Many mp3s are put into the error list with the note that Gstreamer is
missing the necessary plugins; when I select to search, I am told
after a long pause that the "ID3 demuxer" cannot be located. This is
invalidating a great many mp3s and I cannot imagine why something as
simple, standard and ubuquitous as ID3 tag support should not be
supported within the Ubuntu 10.04
is this an error in the package name that Rhythmbox searches? is
there a 3rd party location where the missing plugin can be found?
