Title:
Nautilus can't count beyond 4GB in DVD copying
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: nautilus
Copying a DVD of e.g. 7GB into an *.iso file ends up correctly copied
with a size of 7GB, and during copying the dialog box also shows
correct final size, but once the copy is finished the dialog box shows
the size apparently only modulo 4GB.
Using Ubuntu Lucid 10.4.2 I insert a DVD, the right-click on the dvd icon on the desktop and chose "CD/DVD copy ...". I believe this uses a function of nautilus. The first screenshot shows an ongoing copy; the dvd size is correct at 7131MiB. Second screenshot shows the incorrect finished dvd size of 3.18GB.
When this procedure is done with a dvd of only 2.5GB, the correct dvd size is shown both during and after copy.
