Title:
Cannot shutdown after setting resolution with nvidia X server setting
Status in “gnome-session” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Shutdown and restart options takes you to the gdm login page. Computer shutdown button doesn't do anything.
I'm running 10.04 Lucid lynx and have this problem after setting resolution to higher one with nvidia X server settings
I can get it to work again if I do "sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop" then "sudo shutdown -h now" then turn on the machine again
The problem is the resolution goes back to what it originally was :-( and if I change the resolution it happens again
