Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS running on Macbook Pro 5,1, dual boot with Mac OS X
10.5, United Kingdom Macintosh keyboard layout, source package gnome-
  system-tools 2.30.0-0ubuntu2.

I like using the keyboard shortcuts, e.g. Ctrl + Alt + T to launch the
terminal. To use the hash key (#) with my keyboard, I go to System ->
Preferences -> Keyboard, click Options, and select the Alt key as the
"key to choose 3rd level" so that the hash key is Alt + 3 as it would
be in Mac OS X. When I enable the 3rd level in this way, keyboard
shortcuts containing Alt stop working. They start working again as
soon as I disable the 3rd level.
