Title:
Missing underlines for accelerator keys in GNOME when using the 9-pt
font on Ubuntu 9.10
Status in “gtk+2.0” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Hello,
I saw that the accelerator keys for longer letters are not visible in my
Ubuntu 9.10(amd64) distribution. This affects letters j, p and g.
Although they are still effective, these accelerator keys are not
visible when using the 9-points font, unless the GUI has allowed
stretching of the menu bar (see attached example, which should have "_a_g").
As I didn't find any bug which related to this, I wonder if this is
correct behaviour. Only one advice would suggest to not use the
characters, but it seems not widely known:

Regards,
Peter Scholtens
( By the way, I like the accelerator keys very much, as it helps to speed
up GUI interaction, once you've become an experienced user: and it
prevents RSI).
