Title:
rhythmbox does not fallback to GtkStatusIcon on removal of indicator-
applet
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
I don't like indicator-applet, so after disabling it I can *NOT* get a
rhythmbox icon in my tray (by default).
What to do to reproduce behavior:
1) Remove indicator-applet plugin from the Gnome panel.
2) Rhythmbox should revert to the old behavior, but is simply nowhere to be seen (it is running, a quick examination of the processes verifies this).
After I deselect the "Status Icon" plugin, rhythmbox turns on fine (no
status icon).
This is probably relevant:
$ ps aux | grep indicator-application-session
