Title:
Big PDF files are printed extremly slow by Brother HL2040

Status in “poppler” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: evince

When I try to print a PDF bigger than 5 MB under *evince* I have to
wait a long time (up to 15 minutes) until the first page is printed.
The CPUs are working with 100% during this time. Then my printer
prints the pages with about 10sec long breaks between the single
pages. So if I'm lucky I have 6 pages per minute. During the whole
printing process my CPUs are working with 100%. A PDF with 100 pages
and about 70 MB lasted 30 minutes.

Under *KPDF* I can't get the right orientation at default landscape
PDFs . No matter if I choose portrait or landscape, I always get a
portrait print. The printing process is as slow as under evince

I use the recommended HL-2060 driver under Ubuntu gutsy 32bit.

  My machines:
  DELL INSPIRON 6400, INTEL CORE2DUO 2x1,60 GHz, 2GB RAM
  AMD 64 X2 3800+, 2x1.8GHz (or 2.0GHz???), 2GB RAM
