Title:
  flickering tooltip in gnome-volume-control-applet

Status in “gnome-media” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I have the gnome-volume-control-applet running at login, which places
a volume applet in the gnome panel.

If I click the volume panel applet (which shows the volume level
slider) then click again to close the volume level, but leave the
cursor hovering there, the tooltip flickers many times a second until
  I move the mouse away.
