sudo apt-get remove network-manager

Bug description:
After a reboot, /etc/resolv.conf is blank and only contains the line
# Generated by NetworkManager
The computer is configured for a static IP address using (in XFCE)
Settings -> Network Connections and contains a valid DNS entry.
In order for the computer to access the internet, I must edit /etc/resolv.conf and insert
nameserver 8.8.8.8
