[Bug 874223] Re: Gwibber and Desktop too slow when using the writing box

I have exactly the same problem. Gwibber (not sure about the rest of the
desktop though..) get's very slow when trying to type a tweet. Also
scrolling and such isn't really fast, but it's not as worse as the
typing.

Title:
Gwibber and Desktop too slow when using the writing box

Status in “gwibber” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
First of all, I don't know if this is the right place for this bug
report, if don't, please, let me know.

The new gwibber's interface it's awesome, but when I have gwibber open
and use the writing box for tweeting, all the desktop interface
becomes slow, also writing on that box is slow; if the box is not
open, gwibber and the desktop works perfect.

If I use the "Update state" available from the new messaging menu, the
writing box came up but not gwibber, in this case, everything works
  fine.

I'm using a MSI with Core i3, Intel on board graphic card, 4 gibs of
  RAM, 64 bits.

I've just run *ubuntu-bug gwibber* for attach more results, if you
need more information, please, let me know.

Also run *gwibber --debug* command and attach the results.

Everytime I've opened and closed the writhing box, the terminal show
  this:

  (gwibber:5708): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_get_pointer: assertion
  `GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed
