[Bug 874793] Re: the update to 11.10 was not complete, and I'm left only half working, how can I go back or complete the instalation
You can complete the update by opening a terminal and entering
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get autoremove
If you want to provide information on the problem that aborted your
upgrade you can attach the log files found in /var/log/dist-upgrade
