Title:
background is tiled instead of fitting the screen on logging in
Status in “gnome-settings-daemon” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Binary package hint: gdm
In my Ubuntu 10.01 Lucid Lynx beta2 installation, right after selecting the user in the face selector, inserting the password and confirming, the background image is tiled (place many times till the whole screen is filled), instead of being resized as a single image.
After some seconds the appropriate background image dimension is restored (single image, resized).
Same happened in lucid beta1 with all related updates.
I think this behaviour, even if with low priority, should be improved.
