  username and hostname are not there in the terminal

Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  I wanted to change the username and the hostname inside the terminal
  that's why I've written a command inside ".bashrc" file due to which
  the neither of the username nor the hostname are displaying in the
  terminal.
