  Expected code snippets drop down meny to appear.
  Instead gEdit crashes with the following error message:

  `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

  (gedit:4072): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_get_qdata: assertion
  `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

  (gedit:4072): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_get_qdata: assertion
  `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

  (gedit:4072): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_ascii_strncasecmp: assertion `s2 !=
  NULL' failed

  (gedit:4072): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_ascii_strncasecmp: assertion `s2 != NULL' failed
  Segmentation fault

  
  This is my first bug report so I might get something wrong. But I've used the ubuntu-bug tool, enabled apport and attached the crash file. I hope this is correct.
