Title:
Gwibber is too slow
Status in “gwibber” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gwibber
This may sound a little ambiguous, but I find Gwibber (especially
2.0.0) too heavy. If I remember correctly, even if the older version
had less features, I had a more pleasurable experience with it because
it's not as slow.
This may require a lot of tweaking and not everyone may agree, but as
a microblogger, I want my Twitter/Identi.ca client to be light and
fast. My objective is to send and receive short messages. Taking a
little too much time to do those little tasks slows me down. Too bad I
don't have good alternatives because Adobe Air isn't smooth here and I
don't want to run and install KDE components just for Choqok.
Gwibber is a great app. I don't exactly know how this problem can be
resolved but it needs some trimming/optimizing.
