[Bug 877005] Re: firefox broken when minimizing window from extension in unity3d
** Description changed:
This happens since I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10. Happens with Firefox
7.0.1, and only when I log in with "Ubuntu" configuration but not
"Ubuntu2D".
Steps to reproduce:
-Open firefox.
-Use an extension than enables to write custom Javascript DOM code (better if it uses the main window scope, unlike the error console), like Custom Buttons, or Mouse Gestures Redox.
-Run the command window.minimize();
Thee firefox winndow minimizes to the Unity launcher, but when it is
restored all the comboboxes in the chrome (the combos that suggest the
url on the navigation bar or the user name on a login field of a
webpage).
In addition, when I try to use autoscrolling (middle click when that
option is enabled), the scrolling works, but the circle icon with the
two arrows doesn't show up and the keyboard becomes unresponsive for the
whole application, so I have to kit Firefox.
+
+ When I open firefox again, and click "Restore previous session" the
+ window minimizes again, and when I restore it, the same occurs (no
+ keyboard and no autoscroll).
Eventually the whole system crashes afterwards and I have to restart the
computer, but it's probably due to the instability of Unity 3d rather
than this particular bug.
