[Bug 877309] Re: ubuntu one plugin hangs banshee when network isn't there
I haven't said it explicitly, but the problem goes away when you disable the Ubuntu One plugin.
This is a good workaround for people who don't use Ubuntu One and want to play music without network connectivity.

Title:
ubuntu one plugin hangs banshee when network isn't there
Status in “banshee” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
The standard banshee configuration hangs when run without network connectivity.
I have narrowed this down to the Ubuntu One plugin - if you disable it, banshee works fine.
The failure mode is that the UI becomes unresponsive, at least 2 threads are running infinite loops
(cpu usage is 170% on a 2-core machine, i.e. 85% cpu usage each), and you have to quit through the 'force quit' dialog.
I have attached the output from stderr, which includes a Glib assertion failure and a C# stack trace.
