center" and copy the log to the bug, it's likely that you did a local
installation and are not using the distribution version there

  Launching gnome-control-center fails:

  david@david-laptop:~$ gnome-control-center 
  gnome-control-center: error while loading shared libraries: libgnome-desktop-2.so.17: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

  Installing the package named libgnome-desktop-2-17 fixes this problem,
  so it should be included as a dependency to gnome-control-center.
