[Bug 878261] Re: Phones home at startup
When I did retry after the network was up and capture the data with
wireshark, it was sent over https, so no idea what's being sent.

Title:
Phones home at startup
Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Due to problems with my previous MUA of choice, I've recently started
using Thunderbird again. Today it started before the network was up
and so I got the attached screen shot. I understand
live.mozillamessaging.com is used to support account configuration,
but I don't think there is any legitimate purpose for phoning home
when the application is started.
