Confirmed with the description from bug #877229, it happens when middle
clicking on a folder on the desktop view

Bug description:
  Received this after a reboot. Unity loaded up and shortly after
  nautilus crashed. I do have nautilus handling the desktop so I can
  have icons on it.

  This has not been an issue before today (30-SEP), after I installed a
  swarm of updates through update manager.
