[Bug 853289] Re: Changing Nautilus background to "White" adds undesired font shadow effect
Thank you for your bug report, the option to change the background got
deprecated in GNOME3 and Oneiric which deprecate this issue as well

Bug description:
This affects Icon View, and Compact View. If I switch between view
modes then shadow effect will disappear, but it comes back if I close
Nautilus and reopen it again.
