Title:
  Cannot edit or create signatures in evolution

Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: evolution

  Perhaps this is my fault, but this is what produced the behaviour.

  - I had upgraded my laptop to 9.10, but it was not stable.  I ended up
  having to reboot 2x a day to have the laptop usable.  That is not what
  this bug is about, it is simply information.

  - I copied /home to a USB drive and then downgraded my laptop, through
  a fresh install, to 9.04.  That version had been stable for me.

  - After the install of 9.04, I simply copied back /home

  The issue/bug is this.  Whenever I try to save or edit a signature in
  evolution, I get the error that "Cannot Save... Failed to create file
  '#EVO_USERDATADIR#/signatures/signature-0.39W17U': No such file or
  directory".

  - I have deleted the .evolution directory in my home directory and
  allowed evolution to recreate it.  That did not solve the problem.

  This is not a widespread issue, but it is more than myself.

  Please let me know how I can help to solve the issue.
