Title:
Moving files to trash window hangs indefinitely on file with invalid
  encoding

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nautilus

  1) lsb_release -rd
  Description:	Ubuntu 10.10
  Release:	10.10

  2) apt-cache policy nautilus
  nautilus:
    Installed: 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu1.4
    Candidate: 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu1.4
    Version table:
   *** 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu1.4 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick-updates/main i386 Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
       1:2.32.0-0ubuntu1 0
          500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main i386 Packages

  3) What is expected to happen is when one performs at the Terminal:

  cd ~/Desktop && wget

  then secondary clicks the icon:

  %9F%83%88инка.doc (invalid encoding)

then primary clicks Delete, the file moves to the Trash immediately.

  4) What happens instead is that a window pops up noting:

  File Operations
  Moving files to trash
  1 file left to trash

and it stays their indefinitely with the progress bar half-full and
not progressing. After an hour, clicked the box to right of progress
bar with an X on it, no change.

This issue is fixed in Ubuntu 11.04 as the file immediately goes to
the Trash and the window closes promptly.

WORKAROUND: Instead of deleting via the GUI, perform via the Terminal:

  rm ?%9F?%83?%88инка.doc
