Message #38985
[Bug 783354] notification icons do not respond when clicked on directly
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again
and we appreciate your help.

Title:
notification icons do not respond when clicked on directly
Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
When I click on the email icon, or any notification icon to the left
of it, there is no response whatsoever. However the clock icon and
everything to the right of it are working just fine. I have to click
on the clock icon, or any icon to the right of it, and slide the
cursor to the left to get the volume icon, and all the following icons
to the left, to respond.
I have searched diligently for a solution, or even for others with the
issue, but have come up with nothing.
