[Bug 673232] Copy and paste to windows file share via gnome doesn't work
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again
and we appreciate your help.

Title:
Copy and paste to windows file share via gnome doesn't work
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: nautilus
Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick
Nautilus : 2.32.0
A shared windows disk is mounted through a microsoft network. I should
notice that I've got no problem to browse to the disk.
I'm not able to copy and paste files using Nautilus : "Error - invalid
argument" appears everytime. I should notice that folders are created
on my network disk, filename appears but files are empty !
On the other hand, copying files or folders using command line works fine :
cp -R * /home/name/.gvfs/name\$\ sur\ intranet/Data\
Last detail : these bug doesn't occurs on Karmic.
How to solve it ? Is it a samba or a gnome bug ?
Thanks
Stephane
