[Bug 674509] it takes too much time before to open a chat

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again
and we appreciate your help.

Title:
it takes too much time before to open a chat

Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: empathy

Hi, with Ubuntu 10.10 and latest Empathy version, when I want to start
a chat with one of my contacs (by clicking on its nick) or when I want
to respond to a contact by clicking on the mail in notification area,
the window chat takes too much time before to appear, about 20
  seconds.

It happens only when a chat is "new", if I have the window already
open all works fine, the window popup immediately if it were "hidden"
  under some others windows.
