Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test

  network manager applet notification position is incorrect

Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-panel

  When network manager connects to my wifi ('dlink'), it shows a
  notification that it has connected but this isn't positioned right.

  I've seen this problem with not just 10.04 but a few releases earlier
  as well. If I hover my mouse on it, it disappears and reappears once I
  move it away.
