Title:
Creating numerous logical partitions causes incorrect error message
about missing extended partition
Status in “gnome-disk-utility” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility
While trying to reproduce a bug in parted involving 16 logical
partitions, I ran noticed the following errors in .xsession-errors:
(gdu-notification-daemon:3259): libgdu-WARNING **: Partition
/org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sda6 is a logical partition but no
extended partition exists. This error is repeated for every logical
partition.
I created only a single extended partition using the whole disk, then
began creating logical partitions inside it.
