Message #39188
[Bug 777502] Minimizing a window by clicking it in the window list sometimes moves it to the far-right of the list
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
it at http://www.ubuntu.com/download . Thanks again and we appreciate
your help.

Title:
Minimizing a window by clicking it in the window list sometimes moves
it to the far-right of the list
Status in “gnome-panel” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
To reproduce the problem (using Ubuntu's classical desktop):
- Open more than one application.
- Start clicking the left-most application in the Panel's Window List over and over again, maximizing and minimizing the application's window.
- Eventually (or sometimes on the first try) the application, when minimized, will move to the right-most position in the Window List and if you continue clicking in the same spot you will now be maximizing and minimizing a completely different application (whichever application was next in line).
This issue is especially annoying when coupled with Bug 697358, which
makes it impossible to move the application back to its original
position in the Window List (unless you use one of 697358's temporary
work-arounds).
