[Bug 677188] can't create bookmarks to the root folder of remote shares by drag & dropping it into nautilus' Places
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
it at http://www.ubuntu.com/download . Thanks again and we appreciate
your help.

Title:
can't create bookmarks to the root folder of remote shares by drag &
dropping it into nautilus' Places
Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: nautilus
It's impossible to create bookmarks to remote shares by dragging them
onto Places in Nautilus. That's because they are being treated the
same as local partitions. It makes creating bookmarks for them really
hard as user have to launch a cluttered "Connect to Network..." dialog
and fill it by hand.
