package gdm 2.32.0-0ubuntu15 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess
installed post-removal script returned error exit status 128
Status in “gdm” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gdm
Updated ubuntu using update-manager, including the new kernel,
2.6.38-8 and upon restarting, gdm was not displaying user names,
therefore login was not possible.
What I tried is I entered a virtual terminal and typed command "sudo
apt-get purge gdm" and reinstalled ubuntu-desktop afterwards which
allowed me to log in but Ubuntu is glitchy.
This is Ubuntu 11.04.
