[Bug 660217] Brasero inaccurately reports project cannot fit on DVD
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
it at http://www.ubuntu.com/download . Thanks again and we appreciate
your help.

Title:
Brasero inaccurately reports project cannot fit on DVD
Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: brasero
I have found that Brasero inaccurately reports that a project cannot
fit on DVD. It also shows a DVD as 4.1GB of free space, although I
have been able to burn over 4.4GB onto the disk with this tool. I have
also seen that Brasero reports 4.7 GB remaining disk space when
burning a 7.3GB ISO onto a 8.5GB DL disk. Brasero does not make sure a
project will fit on DVD before offering burning options.
This bug is to request that Brasero accurately report how much space
is available on the disc and how much is currently being used by the
files in the project.
