[Bug 752037] Rhythmbox taking VERY long time to import music on a fast laptop
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable
release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test
with it so we can work on getting it fixed. You can find out more about
it at http://www.ubuntu.com/download . Thanks again and we appreciate
your help.

Title:
Rhythmbox taking VERY long time to import music on a fast laptop
Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
I am trying to import 16 minutes of music from a CD into my music
library. I have a Thinkpad T410 with an Intel Core i7 processor so a
lack of computing power is definitely not a problem. Yet after over 20
minutes Rhythmbox only got to 34% of this task. The rest of my
applications are working at normal speed now and CPU usage is not high
at all. Yet Rhythmbox is at a dead slow now.
