Title:
  evolution doesn't close nicely, it changes colour then hangs for a
  while.  If I open another program then close it, this seems to solve
  the problem...   Thank you

  It is not a huge problem but I thought I would send the bog report
  anyhow...

  When I first started to use evolution it worked just fine.
