[Bug 874073] Re: pop-up notification hides when mouse reaches it

 

This is actually no bug, it'a feature.

These popups are not designed to interact with them, but to just inform you.
It's a design decision the Ubuntu guys took which will not be changed.

They are designed to not be in the way. This is why the notification hides as soon as you move the mouse over it.
You may have noticed that you can interact with anything below the popup.

Bug description:
  A popup notification in the top right shows me a text message someone
  sent me through one of my empathy accounts. when i mouse up to click
  on it, hoping it will either make it go away or take me to its master
  (a more detailed chat window), it instead disappears when my mouse is
  over where it was, and reappears when my mouse leaves. How opposite-
  to-useful!
