  non funziona il microfono - the microphone does not work

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-media

  the microphone does not record audio. I tried the microphone on
  another computer with windows ee it works perfectly. The microfno
  stopped working after it was upgraded to ubuntu from version 10.x to
  11.x. Help me please. thank you
