Message #41061
[Bug 880594] Re: /etc/guest-session/skel doesn't exist, but is being referred to.
Thanks for your help to improve Ubuntu by posting this suggestion!
Considering that no attempt is made to use the directory if it doesn't
exist, can you please let us know what difference you think it would
make to create it by default. (There is also a test for existence of the
file /etc/guest-session/prefs.sh, btw.)
Both those code snippets are inherited from gdm-guest-session, and they
are there because of a tutorial I wrote to make customization easier.
There is a link to the tutorial from https://help.ubuntu.com/11.10
/ubuntu-help/shell-guest-session.html, and most of the customization
tips work fine also with LightDM's guest session feature in Ubuntu
11.10.

Title:
/etc/guest-session/skel doesn't exist, but is being referred to.
Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
/usr/sbin/guest-account refers to /etc/guest-session/skel/, which
doesn't exist by default. It should, even if nothing is placed there
by default.
