This appears to have been fixed upstream yesterday, so it should be
fixed whenever the next version of banshee hits Ubuntu.

  I'm now using the GNOME Shell in Ubuntu 11.10 with Banshee for seven
  days and I think that these technical html tags are misplaced in the
  notifications of Banshee.
